JAZZ TIMES is
a lively multi-media presentation of the authentic sounds and styles of each period of American jazz.

The live sounds combined with big-
screen images of the jazz greats magically bring them to life. Visually as well as musically your audience retraces the path from Ragtime to Dixieland to Swing.

JAZZ TIMES is
totally flexible and can be tailored to the entertainment needs of your convention, concert program, meeting, banquet, or party. It can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as two hours - or any length of time as requested. It can be performed in a theatre setting or in a ballroom with dance floors. It can include one or two audio-visual screens. The size of the band can vary somewhat, but 13 to 17 musicians are recommended for key arrangements
associated with Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Stan Kenton.

It can include one or more costumed dance teams to perform dances of the different eras - Flapper, Swing, etc.

JAZZ TIMES is
a unique entertainment incorporating these
three elements:

Live music with the Steve Miller K.C. Band
playing m various styles of American Jazz
Big-screen images of the great talents so
important to this part of our American music.
Brief accompanying narration.

JAZZ TIMES is
flexible as to scheduling. It may be presented
in these formats:
As a concert:
Immediately after dinner's main course as an
entertainment to enjoy with dessert

The evening's main program, either with or
without ballroom dancing

After dinner and after your program, as a
prelude to an evening of dancing

JAZZ TIMES
traces the development of jazz and
swing right up to our generation.

JAZZ TIMES reveals the role of the
Kansas City Sound in jazz history.

JAZZ TIMES is performed by musicians raised in this Kansas City tradition
